He Chose 3 Loaves of Bread Over His 20 Years Worth of Salary. Best Decision EVER!

They say God gives only three answers to our prayers—yes, no, and wait. We all feel blessed and ecstatic whenever we get immediate answers to our requests and, of course, we all feel a bit disappointed when we don’t. But the hardest part for most human beings is to wait and not know whether we should give up and move on, or just keep on holding on.

Sometimes God makes us wait not because He wants to punish or torment us; He makes us wait because He wants to give us something far more beautiful and valuable than what we think we deserve. Oftentimes, God also asks us to make sacrifices so He could test our love, faith, and loyalty to Him.

But, I assure you, God is faithful and He keeps his promises. Because if we remain patient, obedient, and if we continually hold on to His words, He’ll shower us with more blessings than we ever hoped for.

A young, newlywed couple lived in a small farm. Since the man was poor and had nothing much to offer his wife, he thought about leaving and finding a better job.

So he spoke to her and said,

“Honey, I will leave and travel far. I’ll get a job and work hard so I can give you the comfortable life that you deserve when I come back. I do not know how long I’ll be gone, but only ask one thing: please wait for me. Be faithful to me for I will be faithful to you.”

So the young man left.

He walked for many days until he found a farmer who was in need of help. The young man offered his services and was immediately accepted. However, before he began his work, he laid a few conditions.

“Let me work for you as long as I want, but when I think it’s time for me to go home please release me of my duties. I do not want to receive my salary. I ask you to save it for me until the day I leave. The day I decide to go, please give me the money and I will be on my way.”

The young man worked for twenty years without holidays and without rest.

Finally, after twenty years, he went to his boss.

“Boss, I need my money now; it’s time for me to come home.”

The boss replied,

“All right. After all, I made a deal with you and I’ll keep my word. However, before you go I want to offer you something new: I will give you all your money and send you away, or I will give you 3 pieces of advice and then send you away.

If I give you the money, I will not give you the 3 pieces of advice. But, if I give you the 3 pieces of advice, I will not give you the money. Now, go to your room and think about your answer.”

He thought about it for two days. Until the man made up his mind and went to the boss and said, “I want the 3 pieces of advice.”

The boss stressed again, “If I give you the 3 pieces of advice, I will not give you the money.”

But the man insisted, “I want the 3 pieces of advice!”

The boss then told him his three pieces of advice,
  1. Never take shortcuts in your life, shorter and unknown paths can cost your life;
  2. Never be too curious, for curiosity towards evil can be deadly; and
  3. Never make decisions in moments of anger or pain, because when you repent, it could be too late.
After giving these 3 pieces of advice, the boss gave him 3 huge loaves of bread for his journey.

“Here you have 3 loaves of bread. Two are for you to eat during the journey and the last is for you to eat with your wife when you get home.”

So finally, after twenty years of working so hard. The man went on his way to return to his wife whom he loved so much.

On the first day of his travel, he found a man who greeted him and asked, “Where are you going?”

He replied, “To a distant place which is about 20 days away if I continue walking on this road.”

The man said to him, “Oh boy, this path is too long! I know a shortcut that is very safe and you will arrive in 5 days only.”

The man began to follow the path suggested until he remembered the first piece of advice. Then, he returned and followed the long path. Days later, he learned that the shortcut led to an ambush.

A few days after, he found a small shack in a village where he could rest. He kindly asked the owner if he could stay for just one night.

During the night, he woke up as he heard a terrifying scream. He rose to his feet and went to the door to check what happened. He was about to open the door when he remembered the second piece of advice. Therefore, he ignored the screams and went back to bed.

At dawn, after having his breakfast, the owner asked him if he had not heard the screams that night. He affirmed that he did.

Then, the host said, “Were you not curious to see what happened?”

And he replied, “No! I was not!”

Then the host answered again, “You are the first traveler who stayed overnight and leave this village alive. My neighbor is completely crazy. He usually shouts at night to call someone’s attention. When the guest comes out, he kills them and buries their bodies in the backyard.”

The man continued his long journey, eager to arrive soon. After many days and nights of walking, he was very tired, but he finally saw his house.

It was night-time. He saw light coming out from the window and was able to see the silhouette of his wife. But he also saw that she was not alone. He came closer and saw that there was a man with her. She was softly caressing his hair.

His heart was immediately filled with hatred and bitterness. He decided that he would confront and kill them mercilessly. However, he took a deep breath and he remembered the third piece of advice.

He stopped, reflected, and decided to sleep outside that night. He slept in the midst of the bushes, determined that he was going to make a decision the next day.

By dawn, when he was calmer. The man said to himself, “I will not kill my wife and her lover. I am going back to my boss and ask him to take me back. But before I do, I want to tell my wife that I have always been faithful to her.”

He went to the front door and knocked. When his wife opened the door and recognized him, she cried and embraced him warmly. He tried to push her away, but he was not able to.

Then, with tears in his eyes he told her, “I was faithful to you and you betrayed me!”

She was shocked with that accusation so she replied, “How did I betray you? I have never betrayed you. I waited patiently for you for twenty years.”

Then he asked, “How about the man that you were caressing yesterday?”

And she said, “That man is our son! When you left, I discovered I was pregnant. Today he is twenty years old.”

Hearing that, the man asked for her forgiveness. He met and hugged his son. After that he told them all the stories that he experienced while he was away. Meanwhile, his wife prepared coffee and the last bread given by her husband’s boss.

After a prayer of thanksgiving, he broke the bread. When he looked at it, he found all his money inside. In fact, there was even more than the right payment for his twenty years of dedication and hard work!
Friends, our God is like this boss. When he asks us to make a sacrifice, he wants to give us more than what we give Him. He wants us to have His unique wisdom as well as the material blessings!

Ex-Lovers Stood in Silence When They Met Each Other for the First Time After 30 Years.

Love is the most complicated thing in the world. Artists are the most eccentric people. So when artists fall in love, the passion must be special, beautiful and somewhat melodramatic. With feelings so strong and minds dazed, we guess their love stories are the greatest.

Meet artists Marina Abramovic. In the 1970s, Marina and her then boyfriend named Ulay broke up. But even until the very end of the relationship, they chose to do it in an interesting fashion, just like true artists. They went to the opposite ends of the Great Wall of China and walk towards each other in the middle. When they finally met, they gave each other one last embrace and parted ways. They never saw each other again after that.

More than 30 years later, Marina held a live art performance. She spent one minute in silence with complete strangers. They just stared at each other, probably getting inspiration or energy of some sort. But one particular man seemed to have captured Marina’s attention in a more special way because her reaction was different from the others. It turned out that the man at 1:30 was Ulay. It was their first time to see each other after more than 30 years, and the moment was so emotional and beautiful.

Watch the video here:

Love is the most wonderful thing in the world and even if some relationships don’t last and the feelings fade, the memories still remain. We shall keep it in our hearts and minds forever. Even though Marina and Ulay just stood there without saying a word, we are sure that they were able to speak with each other through their hearts. This is such a beautiful story!

She Set Up A Camera To Watch Her Dog At Home. What She Sees? Heartbreaking…

lthough a majority of pet owners leave their animals home alone at some point during the week, we’re always left wondering what they’re doing while we’re away — especially when you know they have separation anxiety.

The clip you’re about to see reveals what happened when a few concerned families teamed up with pet experts to find out what their dogs do when they’re home alone, and how they could solve the problem.

One couple, Nancy and Alex, rigged cameras in their home to film the behavior of their dog, Max. When they played back the footage, they were heartbroken. Max cries and howls the day away, longing for Nancy and Alex to return.

Professor Daniel Mills with the University of Lincoln suggests the right brain of dogs is associated of negative emotions. When positive things happen, the left brain will heat up. Dr. Emily Blackwell from University of Bristol helped the families bring toys into the home that would help with separation problems, as well as techniques to alleviate stress and anxiety. For example: Leaving the home gradually can help dogs feel more confident when left alone, and using buzz words like “relax” before leaving can be calming for the solitary pup.

How do you deal with your dog’s separation anxiety? Let us know, and please SHARE this with all your fellow pet owners.

Man walks round New York in a suit covered with cash, telling strangers to take what is ‘needed’ – with disheartening results

– Coby Persin, 21, known for his YouTube channel focused on human behavioral experiments, is getting a lot of attention for his most recent video.

For his latest experiment Cody walked around New York City with a suit covered in money, specifically fifty $1 bills taped to his jacket, and a sign that said ‘Take what you need’ to see how people would react.

Unfortunately, the response revealed that most people who took handfuls of the money were seemingly wealthy, while a homeless man refused to take more than $2 for his lunch.

At one point in the video a man dressed in a nice suit carrying a briefcase stops in front of Coby and begins taking a large amount of bill off of his jacket. When Coby points out that the man doesn’t appear to actually need the money, the man responds saying, “I don’t need it, but it’s free. Who wouldn’t take it?”

Another woman who stops is also dressed in a nice suit while carrying a Louis Vuitton bag.

“You have a Louis Vuitton bag. You really need this?”Coby asks her.

“Yeah, I have a nail appointment tomorrow,” she says as walks away with the money.

‘You really need this money? It doesn’t look like you need this,’ Coby tells him, to which the man – who grabs $10 to $11, callously replies: ‘I don’t need it, but it’s free. Who wouldn’t take it?’

At the end of the video, Coby walks by a homeless man sitting with his dog next to a pile of clothes and garbage.

Coby tells the man that he can take whatever he needs, but the man grabs just $2 and says that that will be enough.

An Entire Town Secretly Learned Sign Language To Surprise Their Deaf Neighbor

Communication can be a challenge for all of us, though for some, it’s a lot harder. Muharrem, a resident of suburban Bağcılar, is a regular guy with hearing loss who communicates through sign language. But on this particular day, when he and his sister went around town, he noticed something different.

This heartwarming act was made possible by Muharrem’s sister, Ozlem, together with Samsung, and fellow residents of Bağcılar. The effort put into Muharrem’s perfect day is truly an inspiration.

Haunting Photos Show Where Syrian Child Refugees Are Forced To Sleep

When Magnus Wennman, an award-winning photojournalist from Stockholm, puts his 5-year-old son to bed at night, he knows how important it is that he’s safe. But for millions of children around the world, this is not a reality, as he discovered when he started taking photos for the Swedish newspaper Aftonbladet.

His heartbreaking photo series documents what is happening to the Syrian child refugees escaping their country for the safety of Europe. i

In an interview with CNN, Wennman said that the conflict and the crisis can be difficult for people to understand, “but there is nothing hard to understand about how children need a safe place to sleep. That is easy to understand,” he said.

Lamar, 5 years old, Horgos, Serbia.

Back home in Baghdad, the dolls, the toy train, and the ball are left; Lamar often talks about these items when home is mentioned. The bomb changed everything. The family was on its way to buy food when it was dropped close to their house. It was not possible to live there anymore, says Lamar’s grandmother, Sara. After two attempts to cross the sea from Turkey in a small, rubber boat, they succeeded in coming here to Hungary’s closed border. Now Lamar sleeps on a blanket in the forest, scared, frozen, and sad.

Abdullah, 5 years old, Belgrad, Serbia.

Abdullah has a blood disease. For the last two days, he has been sleeping outside of the central station in Belgrade.
He saw the killing of his sister in their home in Daraa. “He is still in shock and has nightmares every night,” says his mother. Abdullah is tired and is not healthy, but his mother does not have any money to buy medicine for him.

Ahmed, 6 years old, Horgos, Serbia.

It is after midnight when Ahmed falls asleep in the grass. The adults are still sitting around, formulating plans for how they are going to get out of Hungary without registering themselves with the authorities.
Ahmed is six years old and carries his own bag over the long stretches that his family walks by foot. “He is brave and only cries sometimes in the evenings,” says his uncle, who has taken care of Ahmed since his father was killed in their hometown Deir ez-Zor in northern Syria.

Maram, 8 years old, Amman.

Eight-year-old Maram had just come home from school when the rocket hit her house. A piece of the roof landed right on top of her. Her mother took her to a field hospital, and from there she was airlifted across the border to Jordan. Head trauma caused a brain hemorrhage. For the first 11 days, Maram was in a coma. She is now conscious, but has a broken jaw and can’t speak.

Ralia, 7 and Rahaf, 13 years old, Beirut.

Ralia, 7, and Rahaf, 13, live on the streets of Beirut. They are from Damascus, where a grenade killed their mother and brother. Along with their father, they have been sleeping rough for a year. They huddle close together on their cardboard boxes. Rahaf says she is scared of “bad boys,” at which Ralia starts crying.

Moyad, 5 years old, Amman.

Moyad, 5, and his mother needed to buy flour to make a spinach pie. Hand in hand, they were on their way to the market in Dar’a. They walked past a taxi in which someone had placed a bomb. Moyad’s mother died instantly. The boy, who has been airlifted to Jordan, has shrapnel lodged in his head, back and pelvis.

Walaa, 5 years old, Dar-El-Ias.

Walaa, 5, wants to go home. She had her own room in Aleppo, she tells us. There, she never used to cry at bedtime. Here, in the refugee camp, she cries every night. Resting her head on the pillow is horrible, she says, because nighttime is horrible. That was when the attacks happened. By day, Walaa’s mother often builds a little house out of pillows, to teach her that they are nothing to be afraid of.

Ahmad, 7 years old, Horgos/Roszke.

Even sleep is not a free zone; it is then that the terror replays. Ahmad was home when the bomb hit his family’s house in Idlib. Shrapnel hit him in the head, but he survived. His younger brother did not. The family had lived with war as their nearest neighbor for several years, but without a home, they had no choice. They were forced to flee. Now Ahmad lays among thousands of other refugees on the asphalt along the highway leading to Hungary’s closed border. This is day 16 of their flight. The family has slept in bus shelters, on the road, and in the forest, explains Ahmad’s father.

Shiraz, 9 years old, Suruc.

Shiraz, 9, was three months old when she was stricken with a severe fever. The doctor diagnosed polio and advised her parents to not spend too much money on medicine for the girl who “didn’t have a chance.” Then the war came. Her mother, Leila, starts crying when she describes how she wrapped the girl in a blanket and carried her over the border from Kobane to Turkey. Shiraz, who can’t talk, received a wooden cradle in the refugee camp. She lies there. Day and night.

Shehd, 7 years old.

Shehd loves to draw, but more recently, all of her drawings have had the same theme: weapons. “She saw them all the time, they are everywhere,” explains her mother when the little girl sleeps on the ground alongside Hungary’s closed border. Now she does not draw at all. The family brought neither paper nor crayons with them on their flight. Shehd does not play anymore either. The escape has forced children to become adults and share concern for what happens in an hour or a day. The family has had difficulty finding food during their wandering. Some days, they have had to make do with apples they were able to pick from trees along the road. If the family had known how hard the journey would be, they would have chosen to risk their lives in Syria.

Amir, 20 months, Zahle Fayda.

Amir, 20 months, was born a refugee. His mother believes her son was traumatized in the womb. “Amir has never spoken a single word,” says Shahana, 32. In the plastic tent where the family now lives, Amir has no toys, but he plays with whatever he can find on the ground. “He laughs a lot, even though he doesn’t talk,” says his mother.

Juliana, 2 years old, Horgos, Serbia.

It is 34 degrees Celcius. The flies crawl on Juliana’s face and she shifts uneasily in her sleep. Juliana’s family has been walking through Serbia for two days. This is the latest phase of a flee that started three months ago. The girl’s mother lays her thin shawl over her daughter on the ground. Fatima calms down.
A few meters away from their resting place, feet are tramping by in a never-ending flow of people. It is the end of August and Hungary is about to barricade themselves with barbed wire to shut out this stream of refugees. But for a few more days, it is possible to pass through the border city of Horgos. As soon as evening comes, Juliana’s family will go for it.

Fara, 2 years old, Azraq.

Fara, 2, loves soccer. Her dad tries to make balls for her by crumpling up anything he can find, but they don’t last long. Every night, he says goodnight to Fara and her big sister Tisam, 9, in the hope that tomorrow will bring them a proper ball to play with. All other dreams seem to be beyond his reach, but he is not giving up on this one.

This Poor Man Was Rejected by A Rich Man’s Daughter. 10 Years Later, He Meets Her Again

This Poor Man Was Rejected by A Rich Man’s Daughter. 10 Years Later, He Meets Her Again

What are the qualities that you look for in a partner?

When I was younger, I preferred good-looking and funny men. But as I got older, men who were smart, understanding, and responsible became more attractive for me. I developed this preference because I wanted a loving husband who my future kids could look up to. However, there’s no denying that there are some women who prioritize something else when looking for an ideal partner – those who look for men who can give them anything and everything they want. Because of this, they tend to check the contents of a man’s bank account first before knowing their personality and character.

Such is the case of a popular story circulating online about a man rejected by a rich man’s daughter because he didn’t make enough money to support her lavish lifestyle. Ten years later, the two accidentally bumped into each other. The ending of the story is absolutely unexpected but it will give you a valuable lesson in life.

Read the one-of-a-kind love story below.

girl-dumped-poor-boy

A poor boy was in love with a rich man’s daughter.

Overcome with his love for the girl, the boy proposed to her. However, the rich girl derisively rejected him and said, “Your monthly salary is equivalent to my daily expenses. How do you expect me to marry someone like you? I can never love you so forget about me. Go find and marry someone else of your level.”

Despite being rejected so hurtfully, for some reason, the boy could not forget her so easily.

Roughly 10 years later, they ran into each other accidentally in a shopping mall.

The man, hearing those painful words from the woman he used to care for, held back his tears and said nothing.

Not a few moments passed when the woman’s husband came back to her side. But before the lady could say a word, her husband immediately recognized the man she was talking to and said, “Sir? G-good afternoon! I see you’ve met my wife!”

“Good afternoon too, Mr…?”, said the man.

“Mr. Carter, Sir!”
The husband then turned to his wife and said, “Dear, I’d like you to meet my boss. He owns the $100 million project I’ve been working on!”

The woman, left flabbergasted by the turn of events, was not able to say anything back.

The man just smiled and said, “Well, Mr. Carter. I’ve got to get going. I have important things to attend to. It was splendid seeing you today. Have a great day!”

For a minute, the couple just stared at the man as he walked away.
businessman-2Having been over her initial shock, the woman asked her husband in disbelief, “That was your boss?”

“Yes, dear. He’s a very humble person but his life is quite a sad story. They said he once loved a lady but she dumped him because he was just a poor boy back then. Because of that, he worked really hard. And because he’s smart, he became successful. Now he’s a multimillionaire who earns millions of dollars a month. Unfortunately though, he couldn’t move on from that heartbreak and remains unmarried still.”

The husband went on and said, “How lucky would that lady have been if she had married that man?”

The lady looked in total shock and couldn’t utter a word.

Morals of the story:

Life is short. Furthermore, it is just like a mirror – you can only see as much as it reflects. So don’t be too arrogant or proud by looking down on others because of their current situations. Things and circumstances can change with time.

Paris attack: Husband pays touching tribute to ‘love of his life’ in defiant message to attackers

The husband of a woman killed in the Paris attacks has written a touching message to the “love of my life” and promised to raise their 17-month-old son “happy and free”.

Antoine Leiris, whose wife Helene Muyal-Leiris was among the 89 killed in the Bataclan concert hall attack on Friday evening, posted an emotional message on Facebook.

He penned the poignant tribute to his wife on Monday, publishing it on his Facebook page. His status, promising to not let his 17-month-old son grow up in fear of ISIS, has been shared over 60,000 times.

‘You want me to be frightened’

Mr Leiris, who first met his 35-year-old wife 12 years ago, told the attackers he would “not grant you the gift of my hatred.”

In a post – shared more than 60,000 times by Tuesday morning – Mr Leiris said in French he would raise their son Melvil “happy and free” and that responding to “hatred with anger is falling victim to the same ignorance that has made you what you are.”

You can read the full translated post here:

“Friday night, you took an exceptional life – the love of my life, the mother of my son – but you will not have my hatred. I don’t know who you are and I don’t want to know, you are dead souls. If this God, for whom you kill blindly, made us in his image, every bullet in the body of my wife would have been one more wound in his heart.

So, no, I will not grant you the gift of my hatred. You’re asking for it, but responding to hatred with anger is falling victim to the same ignorance that has made you what you are. You want me to be scared, to view my countrymen with mistrust, to sacrifice my liberty for my security. You lost.

I saw her this morning. Finally, after nights and days of waiting. She was just as beautiful as when she left on Friday night, just as beautiful as when I fell hopelessly in love over 12 years ago. Of course I am devastated by this pain, I give you this little victory, but the pain will be short-lived. I know that she will be with us every day and that we will find ourselves again in this paradise of free love to which you have no access.

We are just two, my son and me, but we are stronger than all the armies in the world. I don’t have any more time to devote to you, I have to join Melvil who is waking up from his nap. He is barely 17-months-old. He will eat his meals as usual, and then we are going to play as usual, and for his whole life this little boy will threaten you by being happy and free. Because no, you will not have his hatred either.”

Six attacks, later claimed by terror organisation Isis, across the French capital claimed 129 peoples’ lives on Friday. In response President Francois Hollande has extended the country’s state of emergency and declared “France is at war.”
