Dave Anderson, 41, from London piled on pounds due to his busy job
managed to lose two thirds of his body fat in just 10 weeks.
Dave Anderson, 41, from London, says he began gaining weight when he started a new job as a wholesale manager for Wright Brothers.
That, coupled with caring for his terminally-ill father, led to weight gain that left him out of shape with an unflattering dad bod.

Dave Anderson, 41, from London, says he began gaining weight when he started a new job as a wholesale manager for Wright Brothers in London. But he has now shifted an impressive two thirds of his body fat
From dad bod, left, to fittness god, right: Dave now keeps fit with six meals a day and five gym sessions a week
But the quadragenarian has now gone from couch potato to fitness god, after signing up to a strict regime that includes up to five gym sessions a week and six meals a day.
And thanks to a gruelling training regime and diet, Dave has managed to shift two thirds of his body fat in just 10 weeks, going from 21.5 per cent to 8.3 per cent body fat.
Despite always leading an active lifestyle – playing football, going to the gym and even qualifying as a personal trainer at one point – Dave’s hectic city lifestyle got in the way over the years.
His fast-paced job working as a wholesale manager, where he would often start work at 2am – along with the stress of looking after his father – led to him gaining a huge amount of weight.
After reaching a peak body fat level of 21.5%, and with the prospect of a family holiday looming, Dave took extreme lengths and decided to join an intensive exercise programme.
Dave said: ‘I needed to sort things out. Due to a trip away and a wedding I had 10 weeks to achieve my goals.’
After signing up to training programme Embody Fitness, Dave was assigned not one, but two personal trainers, as well as being given strict instructions for a complete diet overhaul.
‘[They] set me up with someone to look after my nutrition and somebody to look after my training,’ he explained.
‘I really found the diet easy to follow and stick to. Even though there were no “cheat meals” and no alcohol, I didn’t really find myself feeling hungry.’
The 41-year-old swapped Subway sandwiches for protein-high meals like chicken with rice and vegetables
‘Results really are achievable’: Dave now boasts an enviable six-pack and chiselled abs
While before, Dave had subsisted on a diet of shop-bought breakfasts and calorific Subway sandwiches, he was told to swap them for protein-high meals such as chicken with brown rice and vegetables, and and nutrient-high breakfasts with spinach and fruit.
He was also ordered to stop snacking on chocolate and sandwiches, replacing these with healthier options high in vitamins.
His strict new diet plan was in addition to a specific training programme which saw Dave.
Dave’s hectic lifestyle got in the way of a healthy diet, but he now sticks to low-fat, nutrient-packed foods
‘I trained with my trainer three days each week and once or twice on my own,’ he said.
‘[The sessions] were always challenging but extremely enjoyable, and they always got the most out of me in every session, even when sometimes I was exhausted with work starting at 2am.’
It wasn’t long before the 41-year-old started to see the results, and now the former dad-bod owner boasts a chiselled six-pack, pectorals and abs.
Commenting on his transformation, Dave said: ‘Results really are achievable if you give everything in training sessions and stick to your personal nutrition plan.’
