WEIRD AND STRANGE TOILETS FROM AROUND THE WORLD

When nature calls, one just has to go. Simple, right? But sometimes the friendly toilet may not be that familiar afterall, as I found out when I came across these rather strange toilets from around the world. It’s amazing how creative one can get with the restroom and really, why should peeing be a boring experience? Whether you agree or not, you have to check out these bizarre loos…

1. PLAYSTATION TOILET

How about a little car racing while we race to see who finishes first? Yes, please! I bet a lot of boys would love this Playstation Toilet. As if trying to get them off their video games wasn’t hard enough already.

2. IN THE MIDDLE OF NOWHERE

My “private time” is usually a time to think, reflect and ponder over life’s meaning and mysteries and this strange lonely toilet in the middle of nowhere is perfect for thinkers like me *cough*. I just don’t know what I’d clean up with after. Never mind, look at all that ice!

3. LIKE THE OLD DAYS

This ancient beauty comes with an ashtray, a candle holder, a hand painted toilet bowl and plaque. It also plays music when you raise the lid and includes a pull chain flush with bell. Royal treatment indeed!

4. HOLY PEE

This is just wrong on so many levels.

5. PEEK A BOO

This is by far the coolest (albeit a little strange) public toilet concept I have ever come across! These disappearing urinals are located in London and they pop up every night at about 10 pm so that the party people have a place to relieve themselves in and they disappear once again at sunrise. Just.like.magic. I think every big city should get these.

6. CLOWN TOILET

I have been petrified of clowns ever since I watched Stephen King’s It and this right here would be the toilet of my nightmares. Clown face with a giant mouth? Thanks but no thanks. My privates are not going anywhere near that thing.

7. THE RICH TOILET

I don’t know what the point of this 900-pound solid gold toilet is but I know I want one for my future living room (the imaginary one where I’m filthy rich). It will go perfectly with my 900-pound solid gold giant sculpture of me.

8. ON THE GO

I’m not much of a multi-tasker but I do have immense respect for someone who can do the deed and run errands at the same time. Bravo!

9. EGO BOOSTER

Oh you classy toilet you! I can imagine how amusing this must be for most men. Gentlemen, you can keep your small joys, we still have Johnny Depp. Ha!

10. LET’S GET MUSICAL

Yes that would be a trumpet and yes, it is pretty cool. I just don’t know how easy it is to aim into a trumpet toilet. I think this is one of those things that works better in theory unfortunately.

The world is a strange place full of sights, sounds and strange toilets. Do share some of your own finds while I design my own one of a kind toilet that puts these to shame!

Top 10 Cognacs in the World

Cognacs are aged to maturity in barrels before bottling and distribution. In the course of its centuries-long life. Cognac has been considered a drink for the poor, an exclusive property of upscale gentlemen’s clubs and a symbol of hip-hop excess. At present, Cognac distillers draw from all facets of this varied past to create some of the finest tasting and most exclusive liquors on the planet.

1. Camus Cognac Cuvee 3.128

Origin: Borderies, France; $2,500 (750 ml)

With upwards of 140 years in the distilling business, the Camus family has had more than enough time to perfect its craft. The result of five generations of innovation, the prestigious Cuvée 3.128 is this French dynasty’s masterwork. Blended from three different eaux de vie that have been aged 41, 43 and 44 years respectively (hence the 128 of the Cognac’s name), this Cognac is presented in a crystal decanter designed by French artist Serge Mansau. It is released in a limited run of 3,500.

2.Cognac Frapin Cuvee 1888

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $6,800 (750 ml)

On one of the further flung branches of its sprawling family tree, the Frapin family claims sixteenth century comic author Francois Rabelais, well known both for his prodigious wit and equally prodigious intake of spirits. That author’s sense of adventure and his appreciation of a good cognac are still present in Frapin family products. The Cuvée 1888 provides the finest example of the clan’s ability to mix centuries-old craft with the natural abundance of France’s Grande Champagne region. A mixture of several vintages, some predating its 1888 moniker, the Cuvée 1888 presents hints of soft spices and a surprising floral aroma.

3.Courvoisier L’Esprit

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $9,500 (750 ml)

Several of the vintages employed in creating Courvoisier L’Esprit date all the way back to the Napoleonic era, and Master Blender Jean-Marc Olivier has been certain to treat these storied constituents with the respect they deserve. The result is a spirit that boasts flavors of apricot, honey and Havana cigars. It is presented in a hand-cut, Lalique crystal decanter that is an object d’art in its own right.

4.Delamain Le Voyage

Origin: Grande Champage, France; $7,700 (750 ml)

In keeping with its namesake, Le Voyage is sold in a leather travelling case whose design recalls the nineteenth century world of steamship travel. The Delamain family has poured all its tradition and pride into this specialty Cognac, imbuing it with a globe-trotting sensibility. Le Voyage is flavored with hints of American tobacco, overtones of African coffee and the faint ghost of Far Eastern spices. The Cognac is presented in a Baccarat crystal decanter, of which only 500 have been produced worldwide.

5.Hardy Perfection Fire

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $6,700 (750 ml)

One-fifth of Hardy’s “Essential Element” series, Perfection Fire is composed of eaux devie that date back to the 1870s. Advertising itself as “the world’s oldest known unblended Cognac,” Perfection Fire balances flavors of chocolate, coffee and oak in its smoky bouquet. The Cognac is presented in a Daum crystal decanter that has been designed to highlight the “element” that the Cognac represents. “Water,” “Earth,” “Light” and “Air” are also available, though the collection itself numbers only 300 decanters in all.

6.Hennessy Ellipse

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $4,000 (750 ml)

As the number one selling Cognac brand in the United States, and the supplier of 40 percent of the world’s Cognac overall, Hennessy is an undeniable giant in the world of specialty spirits. Ellipse is a luxury blend befitting such a storied purveyor. With notes of crystallized fruit and wild roses, Ellipse takes Hennessy’s well-known flavor and whittles it down to its most wonderfully essential.

7.Hine Talent

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $5,999 (750 ml)

Talent was created in 1991 by Bernard and Jacques Hine to honor the bicentennial of their grandfather’s arrival in France. As is befitting so grand an occasion, the brothers Hine quite literally pulled out all the stops. Talent is culled from the Hine cellars’ finest Cognacs. It offers a flavor with heavy undertones of fruit and comes packaged inside an ornate, Baccarat crystal decanter, this placed inside a humidor custom-made from Honduran mahogany.

8.Cognac Jenssen Arcana

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $7,500 (700 ml)

Arcana derives its flavor first from the chalky soil of France’s Grande Champagne region, then from the century that it spends aging in casks of French oak. Jenssen uses this Cognac primarily as an enhancer to its more expensive blends; therefore, single decanters of Arcana are available only upon individual request. If you have the budget for such refined indulgence, Jenssen will reward you with not only with the cedar and blond tobacco flavorings of one of the world’s most exclusive spirits, but also with a hand-blown crystal decanter and ornate wooden shrine in which to store it.

9.L’Art de Martell

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $3,665 (700 ml)

Martell created this limited edition Cognac in 1997 to commemorate the retrocession of Hong Kong to China. With a history in the Cognac business that dates back to the 1720s, the Martell family has had plenty of time to construct a fitting tribute. The 1,997 bottles of L’Art de Martell are among the grandest testaments to that family legacy. With hints of hazelnut and blackcurrant, L’Art makes it clear why the Martell family cellar is often referred to as “Le Paradis.”

10.Remy Martin Louis XIII Black Pearl Limited Edition

Origin: Grande Champagne, France; $34,000 (750 ml)

Blended from more than 1,200 eaux de vie that vary in age between 40 and 100 years, Rémy Martin’s Louis XIII Black Pearl Limited Edition is an exclusive Cognac to end all exclusive Cognacs. It was during the seventeenth century reign of Louis XIII that the Rémy Martin family first settled in the Cognac region of France. One hundred and fifty years after that date, the family decided to name its most prestigious cognac after the monarch that had seen it to such fortune. The Louis XIII imprint remains one of the finest in the world. Released in 2008, the Black Pearl Limited Edition is the most exclusive of the Louis XIII Cognacs. It presents floral notes and a delicate bouquet of spices.

6 Types of Love that you Do Not Know

Based on different types of love present in the society, love has been given numerous names. An attempt to put down different types of love in psychology has been made in this article. Eros, Storge, Pragma, Agape, Ludus and Mania are the six different types of love that are known by the intensity and intent of how we love someone.

1. Eros – The Passionate Love

Perhaps, this is the most evident form of love, that we all have experienced in our lives, at some point or the other. Eros, as the name suggests is a type of love, in which the desire, physical attraction, physical appearance and romance is given the top priority. Since eros is mostly an erotic feeling, there are higher levels of passion and physical intimacy.

Physical attraction can be at peak but in the long run, it fades owing to over importance of physical aspects of the relationship. People who love this way are very charged up, emotional and gung ho about their relationship initially but it fades as time passes.

2. Storge – An Emotional Bonding

Storge love is the familial love, we experience in our society. The love of our parents and siblings is what constitutes storge love. It is beautiful to experience family bonding and lucky are the people who have families. A baby and a mother share an amazing love, that can be read in the their eyes. A deep and abiding affection is something that comes from deep family relationships. When extended to love between couples, storge love focuses on building compassionate, caring and emotional bonding with the couple.

3. Pragma – The Need Based Love

Amongst, different types of love, pragma love focuses more on needs and wants, educational qualifications, professions, income, social status, common hobbies, parental possessions, material belongings of the respective partners. The main focus in this type of love is on needs. If everything adjusts to the partners needs, he or she seems to be satisfied, with the partner.

4. Agape – The Divine Love

This is perhaps the most divine and highest level of love; understanding which requires a compassionateheart. Agape is one of the different types of love in Greek, is considered to be the purest form of love. It promotes brotherly feeling and love for each other. In fact, it is exactly what all religions have been trying to teach us.

5. Ludus – The Euphoric Love

Lover’s who have the tendency of being in romantic relationships for sometime and give it up, after initial euphoria of thrill and enjoyment is over, are said to be in Ludus form of love. A ludus lover does not work for long term commitments but short term goals and objectives.

6. Mania – Obsessive Love

It is the worst forms of love and as the name suggests, it is full of insecurity, mania, jealousy and other extreme reactions like obsession, compulsion and excessive.

7 Warning Signs That You’ve Given Up on Your Dreams

What do you REALLY want from life? What’s your big dream? Are you taking steps toward it? If not, why not? What’s stopping you from taking action today?

Perhaps you’re scared, or maybe you’ve built a huge wall of procrastination that you’ll never scale. Whatever it is, you probably think it has merit. In fact, you may have simply stopped thinking about your dreams because you’ve given up.

It’s too bad. People in much worse situations than you have created the life of their dreams. You may have excuses and obstacles standing in your way, but you can transcend them. However, it only happens when you’re ready.

Here are seven warning signs that you’ve given up on your dreams:

  • Excuses
Everyone makes excuses. Fleeting excuses are fine but problems begin when you stick to the same excuse over and over again. That’s when you start believing that it’s real and insurmountable.Your excuses may seem real, but the one creating them is you. I had a lot of excuses when I started. I could’ve given up, but I kept going, because I knew that that was the path to realizing my dreams. Lose the excuses and focus the effort on progress.

  • Fear
Not only did I have a lot of excuses before I started building my online business and following my passion, I also had a lot of fear and still do. I’m afraid of failure, not being good enough, and all those fears that we all share. But I kept moving forward. If you’re letting fear stop you from going after your dreams, you’re surrendering to a life that you ultimately don’t want to live. Sure it may seem comfortable right now, but a few years down the road, you’ll regret not having taken action. Is that what you want?

  • Analyzing
Are you trying to analyze how you’re going to go after your dreams? Trust me, it doesn’t work. Some planning is certainly helpful, but ultimately you have to take action in order to learn what works and what doesn’t.Look at that thing you’ve been putting off, and do something today to take action toward it.

  • Some Day
How many people have told you that some day they will go after their dreams, follow their passion, and be happy? A whole bucket load I’d bet – and one of those people may be you. Some day is not on the calendar, and the longer you wait, the longer you wait. It doesn’t get any simpler than that. Instead of waiting, start now, start anywhere, and start with anything, because it’s better than sitting around waiting for some day.

  • If Only
If only you had more money, connections, or talents, you’d easily go after your dreams and enjoy life, right?I don’t think so.Many of the most successful entrepreneurs and people that are living the life that they want to live did not have their dreams served to them on a silver platter. The bottom line? You’re not missing anything except the proper attitude and willingness to take action.

  • I’m Not…
Are you afraid that you don’t have anything unique to give to people? This is something I deal with a lot with my clients, especially when it comes to creating an online business and putting yourself out there. We all have something to contribute to the world (yes, that includes you), and that something is the exact thing that makes you come alive. For me one of those things is writing, and another thing is helping people live the life of their dreams and follow their passion. What’s y

  • Comfort Zone
Fear of failure is a big obstacle for many when thinking about going after their dreams. You’ve probably heard that it’s hard to go after your dreams and follow your passion, and it is, but anyone can do it, if they are willing to suspend their disbelief and take action. You have to decide whether you are happy with where you are now, or whether you want to take action and work towards something that truly fulfills you.

Discover your passion, follow it, and create the life you want. There’s no better time to start than now.

8 INCREDIBLY CLEVER WAYS TO JUMP START YOUR METABOLISM

If you’re trying to lose weight, one question that might be on your mind is how to jump start your metabolism. A quick metabolism can mean the difference between struggling to lose that last ten pounds, and losing it without a second thought… but how do you kick your metabolism up a notch? How do you separate the legitimate ways to jump start your metabolism with the bad advice that’s out there? I can help. Here are 8 tried-and-true ways to jump start your metabolism…

1. EAT SMALLER MEALS, MORE OFTEN

If you eat three large meals a day, then you’ve actually trained your body’s metabolism to slow down. That’s not what we want! To help jump start our metabolism, eat four of five smaller meals a day — a light breakfast, healthful mid-morning snack, simple lunch, mid-afternoon snack, and a light dinner with a little lean protein. These smaller, more frequent meals will keep your metabolism running in high gear all day… yay!

2. ADD LEAN PROTEIN

Did you know that your body has to work a little harder to digest proteins over carbs? It’s true… so if you want to jump start your metabolism, try adding a little lean protein to your evening meal and/or lunch. Again, this little change can really help!

3. TRY SPICY FOOD

It’s been said that you’ll burn an extra few calories and kick your metabolism up a notch if you add a little spice to your meals. I’m a sissy about spicy foods, so this wouldn’t work for me… but try it!

4. DRINKS LOTS OF WATER (OR EAT IT!)… COLD!

Here’s another interesting, easy way to jump start your metabolism — drink plenty of water, and drink it cold! Your metabolism will kick into high gear if the liquids you drink are chilled… and in fact, even if the water-rich fruits and veggies you’re eating are chilled, too!

5. COFFEE OR TEA?

Don’ feel guilty about enjoying that cup of black coffee or green tea — you’re actually helping your metabolism if you indulge once in a while! Some of the chemicals in green tea and in coffee have been found to help keep your metabolism rocking… just don’t add cream or sugar, or you’ll defeat the purpose and perhaps wreck your diet.

6. ADD WEIGHT TRAINING TO ADD MUSCLE

People who have lean muscle burn more calories, and have higher metabolisms, than people who don’t, even while they’re at rest. They also have better beach bodies… so what are you waiting for? Add a few days of weight training to your weekly workout and reap the benefits of a better body and a quicker metabolism, too.

7. PUSH YOURSELF WITH AEROBICS

Why bother to work out if you’re not getting your heart thumping like mad? If you want to really jump start your metabolism, really push yourself (within reason, of course) during your aerobic workouts. If you do this, you’ll be burning more calories and keeping your metabolism going even when you’re not working out… cool!

8. AVOID THE HYPE

There are so many products on the market right now that promise to jump start your metabolism… but they’re a waste of your time and money because they just don’t work. Stay away from them.

9 SECRETS TO A LONG MARRIAGE

How to Have a Long Marriage is one of those things everyone wants. If you want marriage or if you are married, you want it to last; you want to be with the man or woman of your dreams for as long as possible. True, marriage isn’t for everyone, but those who do have it or want it generally want to know how to have a long marriage. Divorce rates seem to skyrocket each year and, at the same time, many of us are struggling for the ability to be married. Whatever your particular case, if you want to know how to have a long marriage, just keep reading!

1. ALWAYS BE FORGIVING

One of the most important tips on how to have a long marriage is to forgive each other – always. It can be hard, especially when you’re sure you’re right, but marriage isn’t about right or wrong. Sometimes you just have to give, to remember that people make mistakes, and to offer your spouse forgiveness for any arguments or transgressions.

2. KEEP YOUR INTIMACY GROWING

Without intimacy, a marriage simply can’t flourish; it can, however, stagnates, and quite quickly. By this I don’t necessarily mean sex, although that’s certainly important as well. I mean being open with each other, sharing secrets, holding hands, stealing kisses, and being each other’s best friend even when you get angry or annoyed.

3. BE ACCEPTING

Another essential secret regarding how to have a long marriage is to accept your spouse. You can’t marry or commit to someone simply because you hope that you’ll be able to eventually change him or her. Certain things change and evolve over the course of time, yes, but it’s not always up to you to do it. You have to accept your partner for who he or she is, and love him or her regardless – and your spouse needs to do the same for you.

4. BE WILLING TO COMPROMISE

Without compromise, then again, a marriage can stagnate. You won’t necessarily leave each other or anything, but you definitely won’t be happy. When you can’t agree on something – and that’s always bound to happen – you simply have to work out a way to compromise with one another so you don’t spend your time arguing over silly, petty things. You each have to give, not just take.

5. ALWAYS COMMUNICATE

Communication is all important. It ranks right up there with trust and intimacy. If you want to learn how to have a long marriage, talking to each other is key. You need to talk about the big things and the little things, the important things and the mundane things. No matter what, keep the lines of communication open – it helps inspire trust even through the bad times.

6. TALK ABOUT YOUR NEEDS

It’s absolutely vital to tell your spouse about the things you need. If you don’t, how will he or she know? Don’t be afraid to talk about you want. At the same time, however, you also have to be willing to listen to the things your spouse needs from you.

7. LISTEN

In fact, you have to be willing to listen, period. If you two don’t listen to each other, you’ll never really know what the other person is saying. Always remember the difference between just hearing and really listen. Listen to your spouse the way you want to be listened to, and it will help your marriage thrive.

8. PICK YOUR BATTLES

This is probably one of the best tips on how to have a long marriage. My parents taught me this, and the lesson has always stayed with me – and as to their qualifications, they’ve been married (and mostly happy!) for 31 years, with an anniversary on September 27! (Happy anniversary again, guys!) You have to pick your battles. Some things just aren’t worth fighting about. This is a hard lesson to learn early in your relationship, but over time it becomes easier – and it’s a lifesaver then!

9. LOVE YOURSELF AND YOUR SPOUSE

However, this is unequivocally the most important thing you need to do for a long marriage: love each other, and yourselves. Without love, nothing can live for very long, and that includes a union between two people. You definitely have to love yourself because, if you don’t, how can you ever love somebody else?

Learning how to have a long marriage isn’t hard at all. It simply takes patience, diligence and, more than anything else, a lot of love between two people. Many times, figuring out how to have a long marriage is up to the individuals, because everyone is different and only you and your spouse will know what works for the two of you. However, these tips on how to have a long marriage are universally invaluable, and should definitely help you and your partner have a long and harmonious life together.
