Suspected Wolf Hybrid Saved From A Terrible Life On The Street
Hope For Paws arrived at the scene where the woman had last seen the dog. When they arrived they discovered the dog, now named Julia.
It was worse than they first thought. Lucia was swollen with infections, bleeding from the skin and was incredibly skinny.
They managed to lure her into a fenced garden and approached carefully. Around her neck was an old rope, which was starting to come apart. A sad sign of the life she must have lived before becoming a street dog.
Julia was initially distrustful when the organization’s staff approached her. But when they gave her food, she gratefully accepted. Although she was very skinny and famished, she received the food with great caution, careful not to bite the giver’s hand.
20 minutes later, Hope For Paws won had Julia’s confidence. They managed to attach a leash around her neck.
Julia enjoyed being pet. As she was so tired and famished, she seemed relieved to accept their affection.
They took her in the car. Julia would never have to live on the street again.
She was examined by a veterinarian, who noted Julia’s bad shape.
She had a severe itch and inflammation of the skin.
Her claws had not been cut for a very long time – if ever. Her paws were very swollen.
Julia was in desperate need of a nourishing bath.
When they washed her, her skin began to bleed from the infection.
When the dirt was washed away, they realized just how serious her skin infections were.
But despite the fact that Julia was likely in great pain during her treatment, she continued to show affection toward their rescuers. When Lisa wiped her, she rested her head gently against her arm. She was happy that life on the street was over.
Julia was finally clean and her tummy was full. Exhausted after a long, eventful day, she curled up on a warm blanket.
While she still has a long way to go, Julia’s health is steadily improving. Within just a few days, she’s become more alert and is eating without problem.
She has grown even more fond of her rescuers, showing them appreciation and affection every day. She has not yet begun to wag her tail, but loves to lay her head against their hands.
No one exactly knows what she’s been through. And it will take time before she will become a happy dog again. But Julia will get there, and when she is healthy enough, she will move into a real home.
She will eventually undergo a test to confirm that she is a wolf hybrid, or, as some suspect, perhaps an unusual husky mix. But whatever she is, Julia certainly looks forward to being showered with love for the rest of her life.

Get Salty
…And some corse Epsom salt. Epsom salt is an age-old natural remedy for aches and pains, Dr. Dana Clum writes, and ear aches are no exception. You’ll need about 1 to 1 1/2 cups of Epsom salt for this remedy, or just enough to fill the foot part of the sock.

Bring Them Together
Through the sock’s opening, carefully pour the Epsom salt inside. (A wide-mouthed funnel would work great for preventing any messes, too!) It’s important that the salt is rather course because otherwise, granules might slip through the sock’s fabric.

Add a knot or two on the sock’s “neck” to prevent any salt spillage.

Heat It
Add your salt sock to a skillet on medium-low heat, flipping back and forth until the salts are warm but not hot. (This step means it’s especially important to use a white sock. Colored socks, Dr. Dana warns, use something in the dye that can burn easily. Don’t risk injury!) You can also heat the sock in a microwave, but be careful. The salt can heat very quickly and burn, so Dr. Dana suggests heating in 5 second increments.

Sweet Relief!
Give the warmed salt sock to the ailing member in your family and watch as their ear ache wanes. You can use the salt sock again and again using the skillet reheating method. While the sock might get a bit worn looking over time, you can simply empty out the Epsom salts and add to another sock, then continue the healing year after year.

“Dear Southwest, I’m hoping you can share this post so that I can be sure that it finds its way to a very special Southwest flight attendant. All I know about her is that her name is Anisse.
My husband and 9 month old son were flying from Fort Lauderdale back home to Islip, NY on 12/28. This was my son’s first trip so we weren’t sure how things would go. Anisse went above and beyond to make sure that the trip went as smoothly as possible.
I have NEVER had a flight attendant as kind and as helpful as she was. My son adored her and kept looking for her as she passed by. At one point, she saw that he was looking for her and getting ancy so she came and picked him up and walked up and down the aisle with him while my husband and I ate our lunch.”
She continues by letting her know how incredibly appreciated the gesture was, and how she simply wants Anisse to know what a kind and wonderful trip it was, due to her.
“Although this may not be a story that stands out from the rest, I wanted to thank her and let her know how appreciated she is. We so often hear about the negative things going on so I wanted to share this story of a someone who made my trip a little brighter. Please help this get to her!”
Heather’s post soon went viral, getting nearly 430,000 likes and 60,000 shares. It also reached the grateful flight attendant, Anissa. She graciously replied to the post, writing:
Also gaining some traction on social media, her reply received quite a few shares as well; nearly 126,000 to be exact. To which she responded:
What a kind-hearted flight attendant and thankful new family. See, good news and happy stories can be shared and appreciated as well! And hey, next time you are sat behind a fussy baby, maybe cut the parents some slack or give them a hand?

Morissa drove to work expecting an ordinary day. When she’s not working as a professional make-up artist, Morissa works as a Hooters server in Phoenix, Arizona — but this particular day was anything but ordinary.
Recently, Morissa pulled into the Hooters parking lot and noticed a bearded, disheveled man sitting on the curb. Instead of rushing into the restaurant and ignoring the man, Morissa walked right up to him and asked if he was okay. This small act of kindness was enough to make him break down in tears. “I helped him off the ground and linked his arm with mine. I introduced myself to Rick and explained that I worked here at Hooters and we would be happy to have him. I sat him down and told him he could order whatever he wanted, on me,” she writes on Facebook.
As the two struck up a conversation, Rick shared his story with Morissa. He was from Ohio and had been hit by a car, and he couldn’t go to the hospital because he practically had nothing to his name — not even an ID card to identify himself.
After Rick was finished eating, he expressed his gratitude to Morissa and told her that she had completely restored his faith. The pair took a photo together (below). But just before he left, Rick handed Morissa something she never expected.

“He finished up his meal and told me he would never forget my name, my face, and how I had given him hope again. I asked if it was okay if we took a picture together, he was delighted. He even pulled out a small comb and combed his beard for our picture…so cute! As he goes to leave, he takes off his necklace and hands it to me, and told me he wanted me to have it. I was speechless. I still am.
This man gave me the only thing that had any value to him. That is a debt I will never be able to repay.”
