Churchgoers Tip A Pizza Guy $700, But It Meant More Than They Realized

It’s a random act of kindness that snowballed into something huge. A pizza delivery guy never saw it coming, but it was a life changer.

When Jeff Louis — a delivery driver for Gionino’s Pizza in Mentor, Ohio — brought an order to Life Point Church, the 22-year-old probably didn’t expect an experience that would shake him to the core. But that’s exactly what happened when the congregation of Life Point gave him a tip of more than $700, inspiring him to film an impromptu reaction outside the church that he posted to hisYouTube channel, and which has now reached thousands of people.

According to WKYC.com, Life Point’s pastor Ken Wright came up with the idea of tipping the delivery driver $100 in the spirit of the holidays. “Yeah, I just thought let’s tip him $100. It’s the holiday season,” Wright told the station.

But then something entirely unplanned happened.

The congregation asked Louis to take the pizzas up to the stage and then, one by one, tipped him.

“You know, the most amazing thing happened,” a teary-eyed Louis says on the video. “This whole church came up and gave me over $700 for a tip.”

“You know it was spontaneous. It just happened,” Wright told WKYC. “They started lining up one by one with their own cash tips.”

But for Louis, who is in recovery, it was more than just a generous tip — it was a restoration of hope.

“It really truly amazes me that people who don’t even know me just wanted to help me out that much,” Louis says in the video.

3 Things To Remember So You Can Survive A Mass Shooting

It’s a sad thing to admit but we are really living in dangerous times – the kind where mass shootings have become more common than at any other time in history.

In the United States alone, for example, USA Today published a report last October that President Barack Obama has already given 11 speeches to address 11 different mass shootings during his 7-year presidency.

Unfortunately, it looks like one more speech will be added to that list because of the recent turn of events where two assailants opened fire in San Bernardino, California killing 14 people and wounding 21.

Your chances of surviving a mass shooting depends on how you act and what you do.

While no one wants to be caught in such a terrifying situation, knowing exactly how to act and what to do can spell the big difference whether you will survive or not.
Republican presidential candidate Ben Carson said it’s best to fight a gunman.

Ben Carson, a Republican presidential candidate, declared it is better to fight back.

“Not only would I probably not cooperate with him. I would not just stand there and let him shoot me. I would say, ‘Hey guys, everybody attack him. He may shoot me, but he can’t get us all.’”

Although some critics lambasted him for his “insensitive” comment, Carson stayed firm in his stance.

“I want to plant in people’s minds what to do in a situation like this. Because, unfortunately, this is probably not going to be the last time this happens.”

Love him or hate him, the guy certainly has a point. Mass shootings will continue to happen and experts confirm Carson’s suggestion actually makes sense.

In the video below, you will see three recommendations about what to do when you find yourself in a mass shooting namely run, hide, and fight.

Unwanted Cat Becomes Little Boy’s Guardian And Follows Him Everywhere

When Michelle adopted Larry, a giant ginger cat abandoned for breaking into his owner’s food cupboards, she was just happy to rehome an unwanted pet.

But Larry and Michelle’s son Abel have become the best of friends.

She told KittyArmy, “When Abel cries Larry runs over to comfort him.”

“Abel makes sure Larry is with him when he moves from one room to another.”

“Larry tolerates more than I’d ever imagined a cat could or would tolerate,” she added.

The pair are so close, Abel’s first word was “Yarry” (baby for Larry).

Larry is Abel’s giant, fluffy guardian for life.

We hope Abel gets to take his furry friend to school with him.

But for now he can just enjoy Larry’s friendship and also use him as a tiny human-sized sofa.

Larry was abandoned for stealing food from his owners cupboards, but he’s much happier with new pal Abel.

We want a Larry !

Dad Takes 9-Year-Old Daughter To Lunch, Then Sees A Mysterious Note On The Table…

David Rosenman is a physician and assistant professor in Rochester, MN. He’s also a father with two young children. When David recently took his 9-year-old girl to breakfast at a coffee shop he never expected to come with such an incredible story now touching the hearts of thousands of people across the country.

When they arrived at the restaurant, David planned to read his newspaper while his daughter worked on her knitting project. But before they dug into their respective activities, she looked up at her father and asked if they could “just be together.” Instead of brushing off her request and reading, David knew what he needed to do. He spent the entire lunch devoted to a magical conversation with his little girl. They laughed, they joked, they shared stories and ideas — and most of all, they simply enjoyed each other’s company.

But before they left the restaurant, David returned from paying the bill and found a mysterious note sitting on the table where they ate. He picked up this anonymous message from a stranger, and was so taken aback by the handwritten words that he shared it on Facebook later that day.

David’s story now has over 10,000 shares, and when you see what the note says, you’ll knowexactly why…

Dear Fellow Human Beings,

This morning, at her request, I took our 9-year-old daughter to a coffee shop. She brought with her a little crocheting activity; I brought the newspaper, a notebook & pen, and my phone. This was going to be an outing not unlike others we’d had before: while sitting at the same table, we’d do our own things — she’d keep herself occupied with something, and I’d catch-up on emails, organize my week, get work done, etc. Sound familiar?

Today, she made one additional request: ‘Daddy, can you not read the paper or doodle or check email today? Can we just be together?’ I’m not trying to be melodramatic; that was her question.”

“So today, we were together. She showed me her yarn project. I recalled the day she was born. We compared notes about whether or not couples at other tables were on “dates” (she likes to impersonate people on dates — resting her smiling face on her hand and practicing a starry-eyed stare). She told me about her friends and their hamsters. I watched her chew her breakfast sandwich and melted a little bit as I thought about how much I love her.

I wished it hadn’t taken her past experience and her courageous reaching out for me to give her the attention she so wanted and needed.”

“Before we left, I went up to the counter to order a take-out snack for her brother. When I returned to our table, there was a note, left face-down, in front of my seat. My daughter told me that a woman, before leaving the coffee shop, had asked her if I was her father and said that the message was for me. I looked around (nobody was there) and flipped over the paper to find the words below.

This anonymous message was enough of a reinforcement for me, that I hope more people might be guided by its power and by its author’s thoughtfulness.”

“Please don’t wait for your child or other loved one to plead for your attention like mine did — he or she might not. Expect that no one will leave a note for you — such beauty in this world is far too rare. I invite you to share the gift of this experience with me: choose to be present today — even for just a little while — for someone you love. If you see it happen somewhere, consider leaving a note — it sure does leave an impression.

— David”

This is such a powerful message — and what a heartwarming picture David paints for us. Please SHARE this with your friends on Facebook!

Kind of embarrassed to admit this, but I think I sort of cheated on my wife today. To explain what I mean, I was at Target getting a few manly things, you know – eyebrow tweezers, toenail clippers, beard trimmers, mustache molding waxes, some beef jerky, sardines, trail mix, a loofah – and as I went to pay I saw this woman in line that knocked me out. I thought, “Wow, some lucky guy is with her”, and in a split second I realized it was my wife! You know, it was just out of context to see my spouse at the same store, in the same line, living her life and not knowing she might be at the same place, same time, different car. There was a person between us, so I just watched my cute little Love, tried to text her stuff like, “Hey Hottie” and “What are you buying now my Babelicious?”, none of which got her attention as she was looking for a coupon she’d saved just for this purchase. So I gave up getting her attention, as you can imagine I easily could have humiliated her by leaping on the register as a Raptor and really making her publicly proud, and instead just stood back and silently observed my feelings about this woman. First off, I was taken aback by how amazingly beautiful she is once again. I believe I see it often, but today, not knowing she was at the store, I saw her with new eyes and just couldn’t believe I get to be her fella. It made me blush – but no one could see it under my huge monster Movember beard. Second, it amazed me that she didn’t notice me in the slightest. This is both a good and a bad thing. Good in that she doesn’t have a wandering eye.

Good in that she didn’t see the creepy dude with the overgrown mink on his face peering over her shoulder. But maybe that’s bad, too, like what if it hadn’t been me? I need to get her another can of mace just in case. But it was also bad because I realized how close I came to not ever winning her love in the first place, and the herculean efforts I had to make all those years ago to even get her attention just to say yes to one date! For a minute I felt that familiar grief of doom when I first saw her and knew well, that’s impossible. But somehow I nabbed her despite my insecurities, inabilities, and imperfections. Third, I was ultimately so pleased to see her in complete confidence on this day, as the independent, capable, humble, fun, sweet, kind, awesome person she is. And then she grabbed her things and walked out the door. I never said anything, didn’t flag her down, just watched her walk away, admiringly, knowing she’s my wife and I love everything about this woman. She rarely looks at Facebook so she won’t see this post, she won’t realize she was kind of cheated on today, but I thought I’d share with you all since I’m just a dweeby guy making my way through life, and at the same time sure there are those who have had the same experiences regarding their loved ones in one way or another, and these moments are perfect. Lesson of the Day: It’s good to look at those we love with fresh eyes whenever we can to remind us how lucky we are to have their light in our lives.
