9 LITTLE KNOWN TIPS FOR GOOD FITNESS

If you are like me you are always looking for tips for good fitness. We all know fitness is important. It keeps us healthy, feeling, and looking good. Even with all the benefits it is easy to let fitness slip by and not be a focus in our lives. I’m just as guilty of it as everyone else. Luckily I’ve got some great tips for good fitness to keep us all on track.

1. RUN

Running is always free. So many of my friends tell me they can’t work out because they can’t afford a gym membership or any workout videos. It’s really just a lame excuse to stay on the couch. Running or walking is a great way to increase your fitness and burn calories.

2. DRINK WATER

Drinking water is so important to the body. We needed it for everything. Filling up on water will help you lose weight, eat fewer calories, improve your hair and skin, and stay hydrated during hard workouts. Drinking water is an important tip for good fitness.

3. KEEP A FOOD JOURNAL

If you are trying to lose weight than keeping a food journal is mandatory. I was constantly failing my diet until I came across this simple tip for good fitness. I was eating well at my three meals, but didn’t realize how much those little bites between meals were adding up. Keeping a food journal will hold your accountable for what you are eating.

4. ALWAYS EAT BREAKFAST

Always, always, always eat breakfast. It’s just something you have to do if you want good fitness. Eating every meal stops your from going overboard on snacks in the morning. Even if all you have time for is a quick cup of yogurt or a piece of fruit, making eating breakfast just as much a priority every morning as mascara.

5. BUDDY UP

Having a buddy is another great tip for good fitness. It’s easy to bail out on yourself when you don’t want to work out, but you don’t want to disappoint your friends, right? Instead of lunch dates my friends and I make plans to go for a walk or yoga classes during the week. We don’t let each other off the hook or back out of the commitment. I’ve managed to keep to my fitness plan much better having a buddy.

6. LOAD UP ON VEGGIES

Veggies aren’t always my favorite part of a meal. I’d much rather chow down on potatoes of any kind. However, I’m trying to have good fitness and that’s just not going to work. Instead I try to come up with new ways to make my veggies. Right now I love oven roasted veggies with garlic. When I am serving my plate I fill it half way with vegetables and then go for my potatoes and meat. I eat the veggies before the rest of the meal and only allow myself seconds on the veggies.

7. REWARD YOUR EFFORTS

Another tip for good fitness is creating your own goals and rewards. Allow yourself a little celebration and pampering each time you hit a new milestone in your fitness journey. Get a pedicure once to reach running 5 miles without walking. I’m sure your feet will love the extra love. Buy yourself a new dress once you’ve moved a size or two down. Set goals and reward yourself, but not with food.

8. WEIGH-IN WEEKLY

When I first got serious about fitness I was weighing myself every day. What a mistake! My weight would be down one day and then up two pounds the next. It was so discouraging. Finally a friend told me its best to only weigh once a week one the same day at the same time to get an accurate picture of your weight loss. This is by far one of the best tips for good fitness I’ve heard yet.

9. ENJOY CHEATING OCCASIONALLY

It’s alright to cheat on your eating plan every now and then. However, plan those treats in. If you can’t handle an entire day of free eating, make it one meal or just a dessert. Enjoy it. Don’t feel guilty for the indulgence and get right back on track the next day.

No one ever said good fitness would be easy. It takes a great deal of discipline to work out and eat right, but the results can be amazing. I hope these tips for good fitness will help you out on your journey. If you have any other fitness tips please share them.

How to Stay Motivated When the World’s Against You

As a blogger, an entrepreneur or even an employee you can tend to feel a lack of motivation when times are rough or your products and services simply don’t get the attention they deserve. It is easy to give up, drown in self-pity or insecurity, which ultimately leads to you giving up or simply not performing in the best way possible.

I have certainly been there and I am sure most of you have too. However, it is in those moments that we can show our real strength and our determination for success. Those moments distinguish the winners from those who will never make it big.
What is it then that we can do to stay motivated when everything seems to be turning against us?

1. The Mindset

Mindset is everything. I am not the first one to tell you this and I won’t be the last, but the transformation I have experienced in the last months by simply changing my mindset is incredible.

If you stop acting from a mindset of fear and start having trust in the world and in yourself, your entire outlook on life will change. You will feel happier, more balanced, more confident and stronger, which will weave itself into your work and your performance. By believing you will make it and by knowing that there is room for your success in this world no matter the economy or the circumstances, you will deliver your A game and you will be able to push through those moments of doubt and fear.

2. The People

The people you surround yourself with are crucial. Are they tearing you down? Are they trying to keep you small? Are they affecting your mood in negative ways? Are they limiting your thinking?

No matter how strong you are, not matter your confidence, when you spend too much time with people who have a limited mindset, it will affect you personally and ultimately hinder your performance.

However, if you seek people who share your vision or who have already achieved success far beyond what your situation is right now, you will automatically dream bigger and achieve more. These people will push you to new heights of performance and they will be there to celebrate your successes with you or keep you motivated when things are looking anything but rosy.

The more confident and successful people you surround yourself with, the better your chances for major success.

3. The Inspiration

Another huge factor in uplifting you is getting inspiration from all kinds of sources. Read books, attend classes, listen to podcasts, find a mastermind group or go to conferences. Inspiration is all around. You just have to find it. No matter the graveness of your situation, no matter your frustration, you can always find someone who has been where you are, but didn’t give up and ended up immensely successful.

By feeding your brain this positive and encouraging information, your thoughts will transform themselves and act as a catalyst for reinforcing you that you can always turn your business around. At the same time, you can learn from these people and find new ways of thinking and approaching whatever it is you’re doing.

4. The Goals

When I started my recovery from anorexia after 14 years of struggle, I had many days and weeks of depression, anxiety and complete loss of identity. But I had a goal in mind: I wanted to live. So I pushed through. I ate, not wanting to. I fought against the urge to overexercise. I stopped abusing laxatives. I gained weight, loathing myself, but I did not give up. I knew my goal and I went after it, no matter the measures of discomfort I experienced.

The same is true for wanting to create a successful business and life. You need to have a clear, tangible goal and action plans you can implement. The more precise the goals the better. The more detailed the action plans the more beneficial. I know it is tedious. I know most people would rather spend their time in different ways. But when you don’t know in which direction you want to go, you cannot expect to stay motivated in rough times.

Knowing exactly what you want to achieve will help you along the way and this is the safest way to always stay on track, remain motivated and keep working hard.

5.The Persistence

Sometimes you simply have to keep pushing through. Yes, bad times suck and they can wear you down, but if you really want to achieve something, you have to persist. By implementing my suggestions, you should believe by now that change is possible, so staying on track should not be too hard. However, if you still feel like giving up, simply don’t. Just keep going. Take one step at a time, but never lose sight of your big goal.

Don’t be fooled. We all have setbacks. We all have times when nothing seems to work and we seem to tread water. Having the right, positive mindset, surrounding yourself with encouraging people, keeping yourself inspired and always knowing your goals will keep you on the right road to major success.

7 WAYS TO FIGHT FAIR IN YOUR RELATIONSHIP

Learning how to fight fair isn’t easy. I know that I have to back track a lot and reel myself in so that I fight fair in my relationship. If you are constantlyfighting with your partner and you’re looking for ways on how to fight fair, I’ve got them! Below, I’m going to go over the top 7 ways on how to fight fair!

1. AVOID THE PAST

The first thing that you need to learn when you’re learning how to fight fair is a not bringing up the past. Trust me ladies, this one is really hard to do, but it’s essential when you want to fight fairly. So, quit bringing up the past and I promise, you’ll see a huge difference in how your man responds!

2. WORK TOGETHER

Just because you are fighting doesn’t mean that you can’t work together to find a solution to the problem. Truthfully, this is probably the best way to work out the fight. Just remember, keep it calm, cool and collected and you’ll see just how different it is to fight fairly!

3. DON’T GO TO BED FIGHTING

This is absolutely a rule in my house and should be in yours too! If you’re fighting and it is close to bed time, it’s so much better to resolve the fight and go to bed on good terms rather than have a horrible night’s sleep and continue to fight. If you think that the fight needs to go on much longer than your bedtime, why not postpone it? Make time to talk the next day about the issue. Talk, not fight.

4. NO-NO WORDS

When it comes to learning how to fight fair there are words out there that you shouldn’t use in a fight. Cursing at one another, name calling and even words like ‘should’ or ‘shouldn’t’ are words that can be perceived poorly. Trust me, if you change your wording around, you’ll see just how much of a difference it makes!

5. HIT IT ON THE HEAD

With Facebook, tumblr and Twitter out there, it’s super easy to be passive-aggressive right? Don’t. Ladies, one surefire way to make your man even more mad is by being passive-aggressive via social media websites. Just hit the nail right on the head and confront him. It’ll make all of the difference!

6. RATIONALIZE

In a fight, it can be super easy to just go off the handle in anger. If you take a few moments and just rationalize your attitude and why you are angry, it’ll make all of the difference in the world. For me, I tend to go off the handle in anger a lot of the time, lately, I’ve been taking a few moments and we’ve gotten over fights in minutes rather than hours!

7. DON’T ATTACK

Finally, this is probably the biggest thing that you can take into consideration when you’re learning how to fight fair. Don’t attack your partner. In the end, you still love him right? No reason to really attack him when you’re in a fight.

Every relationships has their ups and downs and every relationships have fights. It’s all about learning how to fight fair though. Remember, you love your partner, so learning how to fight fair is very important.
