Woman Leaves Angry Note For Stranger Who Stole Her Parking Spot. The Response Is Shocking.

Imgur user Pemu posted these pictures after her friend got a parking ticket when a stranger parked in her paid-for parking space.

Frustrated that she had been fined because a stranger stole her paid-for parking spot, this woman decided to write a angry note.

“Hey Stranger, Because you were parked in my spot last night (and still are??), I got a ticket for street parking overnight w/out a permit. I’m broke. These are privately owned spots, and I could have you ticketed + towed. I won’t, but please don’t park in my spot again.”

She was surprised to find an envelope under her windshield wiper the next day. And shocked when she found a letter of apology together with $100 in cash.

“First I would like to apologize for parking in your spot. It was irresponsible on my part and I would like to give this to you to pay for the ticket and whatever else you need. It can be tough around this time of year. Merry Christmas – the a**hole who parked in your spot.”

Perhaps there is hope for humanity yet.

North Carolina Barber Makes Incredible Promise To 9-Year-Old

A North Carolina barber made a promise to a young boy in hopes that he would raise his grades.

“If you come back to me in a few months with your report card and if you have straight A’s, I said, I’m going to cut your hair for the rest of your life for free,” Mike Shelton recalled to FOX 46 Charlotte.

Little did he know that Kamarian Fox would take the the promise to heart and return with an exceptional report card.

That day, Shelton became one of the barbers around the country giving free haircuts for a good cause, much like the one who offers them to homeless people.

The 9-year-old, who had visited the barbershop months prior, mentioned that he had never accomplished such a feat. But, something about Shelton’s promise encouraged Fox to work harder in school.

Stunned, Shelton shared a photo of the two together on his Facebook page, writing, “Let’s give it up for this young man!”

The post was shared over 2,000 times, and many people commented congratulating the young boy. Others also commended Shelton for inspiring Fox to do better.

“Good job young man, good things come to those who work hard! Mr. Mike Shelton, you are awesome for helping him be motivated. Very nice story,” one Facebook user wrote.

Watch below and please SHARE to encourage others to do the same for the children in their neighborhood!

Homeless Mom And Toddler Get Tiny Home Thanks To Anonymous Christmas Donation

A last-minute Christmas donation has helped a campaign reach its goal and build a homeless mother and her 4-year-old daughter a new house.

Brice Royer was battling cancer and depression when he decided to start spreading goodwill around his community.

He placed an ad on Craigslist offering “unconditional love” in return for favors, so Francesca Murray offered to cook for Brice.

BUT IT TURNED OUT THAT FRANCESCA WAS LIVING IN A WOMEN’S SHELTER WITH DAUGHTER CHARLOTTE AND STRUGGLING TO MAKE ENDS MEET.

So to help Francesca as she had helped him, Brice set up an online fundraising campaign to build a tiny, solar-powered home for Francesca and Charlotte.

THE CAMPAIGN’S TARGET WAS $25,000 TO BUILD THE PROPERTY AND GIVE BOTH MOTHER AND DAUGHTER A NEW LEASE OF LIFE.

People from all walks of life have donated to the campaign. Lou Jenkins from Chicago donated the smallest possible amount, $1, but it was all he could offer. “That’s my last dollar in my account,” he explained, “But I know what it’s like to stay in a shelter.”

Lou’s donation inspired a complete stranger to push himself to donate beyond his comfort zone and by giving $4,500, he helped the campaign reach its target.

“I felt inspired by that man who gave his last dollar,” the stranger wrote on the Fundrazrpage, “He gave 100%. My donation isn’t my 100%, but it’s pushing my comfort zone.”

“GENEROSITY IS CONTAGIOUS. WHAT IF YOU ALSO GAVE OUTSIDE OF YOUR COMFORT ZONE?”

Work will be starting on Francesca and Charlotte’s new home in the new year, starting a “pay-it-forward” housing program for people in need.

You can find out more and donate to the project at the Fundrazr page.

Chinese Man Attempts To Catch Woman Falling From 11th Floor Of Building

A young man in China has been hailed a hero after his attempt to save a woman who fell from the eleventh floor of a building.

Mr Feng was leaving a restaurant in Enchi City in central China’s Hubei Province, when he heard a woman’s screams as she fell from the 11th floor of a building.

While many people fled the area, Mr Feng threw himself into danger and tried to catch the woman.

His attempt to break the woman’s fall as she plummeted to the ground knocked him unconscious.

Despite his efforts, the woman did not survive the fall. Mr Feng suffered injuries to his legs including a knee fracture and ruptured ligaments.

You can see the full report and Mr Feng’s heroic rescue attempt below (be warned, the footage is graphic):

“I don’t regret. It’s a shame that I couldn’t save her,” said Feng.

Wife Honors Police Officer Husband In The Most Meaningful Way.

Mary Beth Eslary gave her husband, policeman Eric Eslary, a big hug and kiss before he headed out to work.

Unfortunately, this would be the final time they would say “I love you” to each other. Early that morning, Eric was hit by a drunk driver as he sat in his patrol car. He died an hour later in hospital, leaving behind his loving wife and six children.

At the time of the accident, Eric was out driving together with his police dog and best friend, the german shepherd Blek. Although Blek was seriously injured in the accident, he refused to leave his partner’s side. When Mary Beth arrived at the terrible scene, the 6-year-old dog stayed close to Eric’s body. Surgery succeeded in helping Blek recover despite his serious injuries that nearly led to his paralysis.

While Mary Beth deeply mourned the loss of her husband and the father of her children, Blek’s presence was comforting. This is where the story takes an unexpected and very beautiful turn.

Read on to see how Mary Beth and Blek together honored their beloved companion…

In May 2015, police officer Eric Eslary was killed after a drunk driver collided head-on with him as he sat in his parked police vehicle. He left behind his wife Mary Beth and their six children.

Eric’s partner, police dog Blek, was also in the car at the time of the incident. He was seriously wounded but miraculously survived.

Blek refused to budge from his partner’s side. It was only when Mary Beth arrived that the 6-year-old German shepherd could be dragged away.

blek2

Following the tragedy, Mary Beth decided to adopt the police dog and bring him home. Having Blek around helped her remember and honor her husband’s memory.

blek3

Eric had served for 17 years as a policeman in western Pennsylvania. He had helped to train the police dog and was very proud of his efforts.

Mary Beth works at a 911 monitoring station and despite her many years of training to deal with stressful situations, nothing could prepare her for the loss of her husband.

blek5

“It’s a great comfort to know that I have Blek with me, that way I at least have a small part of Eric with me,” she says.

blek6

At times, Blek continues to look for Erik – he sniffs around and waits for her best friend to return home.

blek7

City Police held a ceremony to honor the loyal dog’s retirement from the force. Now Blek’s sole mission is to love and give peace of mind to his owner’s family.

blek8

Mary Beth and her husband always said “I love you” to each other, before he left for his job. “It was a rule we had. We always said so because you never know what can happen.”

blek9

Eric was laid to his final rest alongside the images of his wife and children. Thousands of mourners joined his funeral ceremony.

blek10

“It is an honor to take care of Blek, Eric,” said Mary. “I need him. The children need him. We as a family need him.”

blek11

What an incredibly beautiful tribute to Eric by Mary Beth and Blek! It fills my heart with hope and warmth when I see how Blek got to live with Mary Beth and her children. It’s amazing what dogs can do for us humans. Blek acts as a constant and beautiful reminder of their hero in heaven.

Please share these moving photos to help honor Lt. Eric Eslary and all other police officers and police dogs that put their lives on the line for our sake.

Outrage And Support After Lunch Lady Is Fired For Giving Hungry Student Free Food

Meet Dalene Bowden, a lunch lady who lives in Pocatello, Idaho.

ladddyd

Well, she was a lunch lady up until last week, where she worked at Irving Middle School cafeteria.

Last week a 12-year-old girl told Bowden she was hungry but didn’t have any money to buy food. So Bowden did what most people would do: she handed the child a meal and said she’s talk to her about it later. After all, she had an entire school to feed that lunchtime.

Unfortunately for Bowden, her supervisor saw her give the child a free lunch, worth $1.70, and immediately reported her.

Despite offering to pay for the lunch herself, she was put on leave.

A few days later she received a letter from the local school district informing her she had been fired for “theft/stealing school district… property, and inaccurate, transactions when ordering, receiving, and serving food.”

Bowden was shocked.

“I broke the rules, but I offered to pay for the meal and I don’t think I deserved to lose my job over it,” Bowden told the Idaho State Journal.

Rightly outraged, over 80,000 people have since signed an online petitioncalling on the local school board to rehire Bowden.

And with the help of donations to her GoFundMe page, Bowden has been able to hire an attorney to fight her case.

Thankfully, the campaign has caught the attention of Mayor Brian Blad, who is now trying to arrange a meeting with the local superintendent to discuss how the “extremely unfortunate situation” is impacting the community, according to the city’s Facebook page.

“I know I screwed up,” Bowden told the Idaho Statesman, “but what are you supposed to do when the kid tells you that they’re hungry and they don’t have any money.”

A Bunch Of People Got Hurt On Christmas Riding Their New Hoverboards

Hoverboards were the hottest gift under the Christmas tree this year, and many people spent Friday learning how to use their new toys — with painful results.

It was, shall we say, a steep learning curve.

People had little falls…

And people had big falls.

The hard surface of the street was maybe not the best place to give it a try.

Even when you have a helping hand, it doesn’t always end well.

Some people gave up straight away.

While others who thought they were getting the hang of it, quickly discovered they weren’t.

Mostly, though, people couldn’t seem to control the damn things.

Which meant we were all blessed with great Christmas videos like these.
