She Grows Up With Gorillas.12 Years Later When They’re Reunited? This Left Me Speechless!

The nonprofit Tansy Aspinall was launched among the gorillas at Howletts Wild Animal Park in Kent, England. One little girl helped with everyday activities in the family’s charity, The Aspinall Foundation, working to rehabilitate gorillas who had been in captivity. The nonprofit organization’s goal is to be able to release the gorillas back into their native habitat in West Africa.

12 years ago, they released two gorillas, Bimms and Djalta, who were born in an Animal Park in Kent, as part of a program to reintroduce gorillas back to their natural environment. In 2014, Tansy and her dad Damian traveled to Gabon where they’d been released, to see if they could find their old friends.

It’s just amazing to watch both Djalta and Bimms respond to Damian’s voice. And then, the way they react to Tansy, who was just a toddler when they first met? This left me absolutely speechless. Watch for yourself below…

Driver Finds Mother And 4-Year-Old Nearly Frozen To Death After Car Accident

When Tina Dubyts was driving in the blistering cold, it was like something told her to stop. Tina says that she didn’t really see anything along the highway guardrail, but something got her attention. She pulled over and saw Kristen Hiebert. The woman was clearly injured and in a state of shock.

“I didn’t actually see anything, but something got my attention,” Tina told CBC. “She was in shock. She was obviously frozen. She just kept talking about her daughter.”

Kristen’s hair was white from frost, her hands were frostbitten, she was wearing nothing but socks, a hoodie, a jacket and jeans in 3° F weather. Kristen and her 4-year-old daughter had been in the cold for 12 hours. They were slowly freezing to death in a ditch, after the mother’s car slid off the highway. Her car wasn’t visible from the road. The mother had climbed to the rail, trying to get anyone’s attention even with frostbitten legs and hands, and two broken arms and a leg. Tina then saw 4-year-old Avery in the fetal position, she looked dead.

“All I said to 911 was ‘I think we need the Jaws of Life,’ because I didn’t think that little girl was going to be alive in there,” Tina said. However, thanks to Mom, Avery survived. She was wrapped in a blanket in the backseat of the car. She had a few scrapes and one of her legs is frostbitten, but she was alive.

“She’s the hero. I don’t know how she went through all that pain,” Tina said. “She had the will to live, that girl.”

Heartwarming Video Encourages People To Adopt From A Shelter

Each year, nearly 8 million animals enter shelters across America and, sadly, almost 3 million of those get euthanized. It’s a devastating reality that haunts animal activists who try their best to encourage people to adopt rather than buy.

Thankfully, millions of these animals do get a happy ending each year, according to the American Society for the Prevention of Cruelty to Animals. And we’ve seen tons of uplifting stories of people bringing these helpless shelter animals into their homes, much like the pooch that was finally adopted after spending two years in a Virginia shelter. And who could forget about the woman who adopted a dog right after he had fallen into an icy lake in Michigan?

In an attempt to raise the number of animals leaving shelters, Save a Hound released a video that’s captured millions of hearts across the nation. (And if you’ve never considered adopting a pet, below is a video that might change your mind!)

A Military Mom Gets A Much-Deserved Kitchen Makeover While She And Her Son Are Out

Kyla Sampsel served the country as a sergeant in the Indiana National Guard, and was deployed abroad to Afghanistan. While every member of our military is brave, strong, and admirable, Kyla had a young son whom she had to leave behind in order to serve. This makes her among the many who are extra appreciated for protecting their own families even when it puts their own person at risk.

Even though she’s one of America’s heroes, she lost her job when she returned home from deployment. This happens all too often, and too many veterans end up struggling to make ends meet, and to support their families. Veterans should be able to enjoy the time they have with their family after they served their country, but that’s not always possible.

That’s why Wish For Our Heroes works to give these deserving veterans at least a little bit of the happiness that they deserve.

While Kyla went out with her son one afternoon, her friends, family, and the good people from Hhgregg and Maytag took over her kitchen and gave it a nice, fresh look with spiffy new appliances.

When she comes home to a room full of her loved ones, her reaction is priceless. They all had a few more surprises up their sleeves in addition to the new kitchen appliances, so make sure you get all the way to the end!
